Many
lovely beaches are within easy reach; our favourites are Llansteffan to
the south and New Quay in Ceredigion. Wildlife
abounds in Carmarthenshire and Red Kites and Buzzards are often spotted
flying over Gwynfryn. Red Kite feeding centres are at Llandeusant and
Rhayader. The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust
Centre in Llanelli is well worth a visit.
Castles in our area are too numerous to mention individually, those at Dryslwyn and Llansteffan are spectacular. Carmarthenshire is known as The Garden of Wales and the National Botanic Garden is about 30mins. drive. Aberglasney and Norwood Gardens at Llanllwni are very close by. |
